KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Worlds of Fun guests find a number of big reasons to visit the Park this season, not only to ride the massive new Patriot coaster and receive huge admission discounts for kids and seniors, but also to experience a cookout on the world’s largest grill! Saturday, April 29, the record-breaking Johnsonville Big Taste Grill rolls into Worlds of Fun adding even more value and entertainment to a day at the park with special meal deals for guests from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Weighing in at 54,000 pounds, the Big Taste Grill cooks up to 750 Johnsonville Bratwurst at a time, reaching a top grilling speed of 2,500 BPH (bratwurst per hour). More than 12 “grill masters” work at the 65-foot grill station that operates on 440,000 BTU’s of grilling power. The portable grill is so large that it actually requires hydraulics to lift the 6,000 pound lid and a semi-truck to get from one location to another.
The Johnsonville Big Taste Grill is at Worlds of Fun from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2006; Worlds of Fun is open 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Positioned near the entrance to Camp Snoopy in the Americana Section of the Park, guests may purchase a delicious bratwurst, chips, and a 12-oz drink for only $5.00 plus tax on this day only (other grill selections are also available). Finish the meal deal with a traditional sweet treat-cotton candy is only 25¢.
