Beef tomatoes with filling on a wooden plank

Directions
  1. Wash tomatoes and remove the top.
  2. Then empty the tomatoes
  3. Cut bacon in small slices or dice it and roast it in a small pot with little or no oil (depending on the fat in the bacon). Then add washed and sliced mushrooms.
  4. Add the cream cheese, and let it cook to a smooth consitency.
  5. Season wit salt&pepper to taste. But beware, the bacon adds a lot of salt.
  6. Add the washed and chopped chieves, stir the mixture, and take it then off the flames.
  7. Cool down the filling for some time.
  8. Fill the tomatoes and cover them with thin slices of mozzarella. Lastly sprinkle some basil on top.
  9. Put the water soaked wooden plank on the grill (until it starts smoking) then pull it to the indirect grilling zone and put the tomatoes on it.
  10. After 20 minutes the mozzarella melted and got a nice colour you can take the plank off the grill. You may garnish the tomatoes with a fresh leaf of basil and then serve them.
