I have a Master build smoker and when I cold smoke my temperature goes over 10 degrees. Do I need to open the vent completely?

It's depending on your local air temperature.

if you already measure 77°F air temp, even the smallest cold smoke generator would break your 100° limit.
That's the reason why it is usually done in the winter term.

Try to keep the meat temp under 77°F/25°C for best results.

Thans a lot, I guess I have to pospone my cold smoking. Thought I had a new hobby since I retired but it just has to wait.
