Inkbird Pairing

Hi,

I've the following problem. The App ran fine with my old mobile phone. I got a new mobile and installed the BBQ app. Unfortunately I cant' connect to Inkbird IBT-4XS as the app doesn't find anything. The app remains at the first step "searching". I can find the Inkbird under BT-devices but I can't pair the two devices as I don't know the pin. I've deleted the BT connection on my old mobile and tried to reconnect, same error. Do you've any advice please?

Hallo BruzzelPaul,
schau doch mal bitte hier: Inkbird Pairing.

Danke

Hallo, danke wir kommunizieren per PM. Ich poste dann das endgültige Resultat.

[QUOTE = "BruzzelPaul, post: 3685813, member: 109792"] Hello the round,

Now that I have a new phone, I wanted to pair the Inkbird IBT-4XS with the newly installed BBQ app. Unfortunately, nothing happens in the app, and under BT devices he finds the Inkbird but does not allow pairing, because I do not know the 4-digit code. I had previously disconnected the old cell phone; there, too, the re-pairing does not work anymore ... Does anyone have any advice for me?

Hi,BruzzelPaul
I am so sorry to know the app can not find the device.
Fristly,
There is no need to enter the paring code when you connected it, you just need to turn on the bluetooth and connect the APP.
You don't need to enter in the bluetooth matching interface.
1.please clean all the Bluetooth connection history in your phone, for example,Bluetooth earphone. because the Bluetooth connection is one to one.
2.open the IBT-4XS
3.Enter the BBQ Go APP directly, open your bluetooth and will scan the surrounding device
4.then you will connect the IBT-4XS!
5.if the all ways don't work, please unload and reload the APP
Second,
Do you open the GPS?The Android telephone need to open the GPS,then you can connect it.:D
Since the upgradation of SDK(Software Development Kit)to the latest version 26,it is necessary to launch the GPS to tag your position for scanning bluetooth device, which are applicable to the version starting from 23.

If the way is don't work.
Could you please try a other phone?Maybe your phone is not compatible with this app.
Please tell me your phone type and the Android version.

Please kindly try and tell me the result,ok?

Regards,
Mamie

Hi all,
About the GPS, It is just a Google Play request !!!!!
Since the Software Development Kit (SDK) is released to the latest version 26, it is necessary to launch the GPS to your position for scanning bluetooth device.

Below is the message we receive from Google Play:
Hello Google Play Developer,
This is a reminder that Android Oreo (API level 26) or higher. After this date, the Play Console wants to prevent you from submitting new APKs with a targetSdkVersion less than 26.
Configuring your app to a recent API level ensures that users benefit from significant security and performance enhancements while still allowing your app to run on Android versions (down to the miniSD version).
Action required
Android 8.0 (API level 26) by November 1, 2018. For technical advice on how to change your app's API, go to the migration guide.
Affected apps
APKs-in production or testing tracks-that are not currently targeting API level 26 or higher. Apps are listed with the maximum version code and corresponding targetSk version. If you have more than 20 apps, please check the Play Console for a full list.

Hy,
Yesterday also received the Inkbird IBT-4XS. I also get no connection with my phone out (s7) if I want to pair it with the inkbird, I'm always asked for a code! Have tried everything ... is there a code that I have to enter? [/ QUOTE]
