Memphis Rib Rub
This rub gives ribs a nice flavor with basil and lower salt level.
1 cup Superfine Sugar
2 TB Granulated Garlic
4 TB Onion Powder
3 TB Chili Powder
1 TB Lemon Pepper
2 TB Paprika
2 TB Kosher Salt
1 TB Seasoning Salt

Pulled Pork Rub
Has won numerous awards for pulled pork. This rub is used before smoking and pulling.
½ cup Chili Powder, dark
¼ cup Paprika
1 TB Kosher Salt
1 TB Cumin, ground
1 TB Poultry Seasoning, ground
1 TB Superfine Sugar
1 TB Garlic Powder
Combine all ingredients and blend well. Store in an airtight container.
Notes: Don’t be afraid to coat the pork butts fairly heavy on all sides. Because of the low salt ratio, I like to put this rub on 12 hours ahead. Get a nice thick bark when smoking before pulling the pork.
